French restaurant Le Phare Du Canal, in Paris near the Canal Saint Martin

Offer you a glass of
Kir or fruit juice as aperitif

Le Phare Du Canal (The Lighthouse of the Canal) opened in July of 2007 right by the Canal Saint Martin, which became famous quite suddenly after the movie Amelie came out. The interior, by designer Gilles Guillot who has designed many cafes in Paris, includes a dark brown floor, zinc counters that shine with a brilliant silver color, and spiral staircases, thereby combining components that feel like a part of Parisian history with others that are unmistakably modern. This all creates a fashionable space where you can really relax. In addition to being friendly, another of its charms is the quick service. Since getting a bite to eat won't take too much time, it’s perfect for those days when you want to take a stroll down to Canal Saint Martin or over to the Marais District. You can eat and drink at any time here, so it's even loved by the Parisians who live nearby.
The theme of “Relax” even extends to the food. You can enjoy traditional French cuisine, with enough of it to fill you right up. The daily specials, made from fresh ingredients, are especially popular. On the weekends, you can have brunch all day long. And WiFi (wireless internet) is available for free inside the restaurant.
